D Vessey Vehicle repairs was formed in 1978 in it's present location. From the beginning motorsport was the main part of the business and the garage was built with the intention of housing a project of building a Mini Cooper S from some of the last parts available from the factory.
In 1982 it was obvious the premises was no longer big enough so an extention was built which then housed one of the first RAM X11 Rolling Roads in the Country. The company soon became the leading motorsport and classic garage in the area and in the mid 90's a major extention was added which housed an engine dynamometer cell. The cell houses a Heenan & Froryd GB 90 dynamometercapable of 1000bhp @ 10000rpm. In the late 90's Vesseys had major success tuning engines in the Triumph TR Register racing championship and to date we've tuned many rare cars from old Bentley's to supercharged Austin 7's to championship winning stock hatch cars. We believe that this mix of heritage, experience and equipment has been a key player in our development and growth.
The milennium onwards
In 2010 the Company business name changed to D Vessey & Co. Work undertaken includes general performance modification, race and rally engine building, rolling road services, jet up carbs, fuel injection and aftermarket management systems.
